About Maryland Micro-Credentials for Creative Classrooms
Micro-Credentials for Creative Classrooms is the new suite of competency-based professional learning courses for facilitators of creative classrooms. Beginning with the pre-requisite course, MCreds 101: Learning through The Creative Process: Standards-Driven Creative Spaces, each course focuses on acquiring a specific knowledge reservoir for use in schools and communities, including music, dance, visual arts, literary arts, media arts, theatre and multidisciplinary arts spaces.
How do I get a Maryland Micro-Credential for Creative Classrooms?
Participants are able to personalize their professional learning by:
Selecting courses based on their own professional needs,
Attending two half-day sessions, and
Submitting proof of assigned Independent Work.
Successful completion will result in a Professional Endorsement from the Maryland State Arts Council.
*Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credit is also available from the Maryland State Department of Education for Arts Educators.

Who is eligible for these courses?
Maryland arts educators and community/teaching artists are eligible for Maryland Micro-Credentials for Creative Classrooms.
